Hops & Crafts is that rare unicorn: a genuinely local-feeling bar tucked right in the middle of the very polished, very tourist-heavy Gulch. I didn’t think it was possible either—but here we are. This place has all the laid-back charm you’d want from a neighborhood bar without sacrificing quality or atmosphere. The staff are super friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the rotating beer list is chef’s kiss. They always have something new and interesting on tap, from local brews to hard-to-find seasonal pours. Whether you’re a beer nerd or just along for the ride, you’ll find something you love. It’s the kind of spot where you can come solo and strike up a convo with someone at the bar, or bring a few friends and settle in for a long hang. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city—and hands down the best in the Gulch for anyone who lives here and isn’t just passing through.
Hops is one of my most amazing hangout spots. The vibes are always chill, it’s such a social atmosphere where there are no strangers, and the service is perfect. This is literally a place where you can know no one and feel like you know everyone at the same time!! If you happen to be in on evening Big Will is working, definitely Sup’ him.
We stopped in while on the Trolly Tour and can hands down say Jessy was our favorite bartender our entire trip! Great local beer selections on tap and a line up of nightly activities and old fashion bar games. Highly reccomend if you find yourself in the Gulch neighborhood.
I love visiting Hops and Crafts, they have a very extensive beer selection and liquor as well for simple cocktails. Jess usually takes care of me and is absolutely wonderful, but AB was behind the bar tonight and provides quick service and friendly vibes. All of the bartenders are wonderful every time I visit. Always great stopping by!
Always amazing vibes with the bartenders. Attentive, friendly, and great conversations at the bar every weekend. Keeps me coming back every weekend after work, and am never disappointed. The chips are salsa are also great
I love hops!!! Jessy kills it and Will is so fun behind the bar. Mezz is always playing awesome movies and Alex has the perfect vibe. AP was phenomenal, fast and entertaining. All around the spot has a great vibe, good beer, and fun snacks. 10/10 will come back
Walked by on a hot day and spotted this bar for a thirst quencher. Friendly barman, helped me find the beer I wanted, nice and cool inside. Outside seating for people watching and watching the world go by, nice spot, will be back!
Visited during crazy tornado weather and was warmly welcomed by the bartender, AP, and even other guests! There are a ton of beer and cider options, lots being from TN! Very homey vibes, can’t wait to visit again!
